GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Product #899 Primer, Sealer and Mortar is 100% solids Low-Mod Low Viscosity with Zero (0) VOC means it meets even the strictest VOC requirements. It may be used as a Primer for of our epoxy products, as a stand alone sealer. It may also be combined  Product #78 Mortar Blend Aggregate to form a Low-Mod mortar.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface must be clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or acid etching. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free blast immediately prior to application.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Temperature of Product #899 Epoxy Primer Sealer Mortar must be 50 degrees F or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Mix two parts by volume of Part A with one part by volume of Part B for three minutes with a low speed electric drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle.

APPLICATION

Product #899 when used as an Primer  or Sealer and can be applied with a brush, roller or squeegee when used as a primer or seal coat. For skid resistance, broadcast sand at a rate of 2 lbs. per square yard. For mortar applications finish surface with trowel. Prime surface to be patched with neat material.

LIMITATIONS

Use of solvents for thinning will prevent proper cure. New concrete must be 28 days old prior to application of Product #899 Primer. Temperature of substrate must be above 40 degrees F.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber gloves.

CLEANUP

All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels. Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.
